Touch N Go Follow Up - New Pro-D - (23-09-2010)

I'm sure I've said it a billion time before -- I LOVE my PLN on Twitter! They give me encouragement, provide me with great resources, engage me in awesome discussions and generally just make my life better.

I think I'm starting to sound like a broken record.

So when I get the opportunity to "share the love" on behalf of a Tweep, I jump on it, if I can.  Today's post is simply an advertisement for some excellent professional development opportunities in British Columbia in October.  I'm publishing the following poster on behalf of Heather Stannard @ccitsd79 - a valuable member of my PLN, and one that I've had the honour of actually MEETING.  For real. As in, in person.

Heather is one of the wonderful organizers of the fantastic Touch N Go Conference (#tng2010) that I was invited to lead workshops in this past August.  Sound familiar? I did have a little promo for it back in this post...

She's at it again! Bringing in some great folks -- both teachers and presenters -- with the intent of providing excellent professional development opportunities for teachers in Western Canada. Thanks for all your hard work, Heather!

Here's the poster for circulation (click here for a link to a Google Doc version of this that you can print off).  The website with details as they come in, as well as the registration form can be found by clicking HERE.

Happy (almost) Friday! :)

A classroom educator for 10 years, I’m now thrilled to be working full time training teachers and helping them integrate technology into their classrooms.

Originally from Calgary, I’m thrilled to be living and working in British Columbia and starting to get to know the fabulous educators in my new province.

I fully confess that I am a tech-geek, and thus always brought technology into the classroom with my students. As soon as I got my hands on my first SMART product – I was a convert – and never taught without one again! I was fortunate to be part of several technical trials with SMART – including the SMART Table, which I enjoyed using primarily with my Grade One students.

I spent some time as an Education Technology Consultant and developed my passion for bringing technology into the hands of kids & helping teachers to maximize the tech tools within their schools.

I also love sports, movies and am a classically trained singer.
