Business Challenge
Enmax required a way to publicly address several hundred staff members in a town hall forum as well as other corporate events. Architectural considerations such as lay out of the atrium presentation area and audience sightlines, a very bright presentation environment and an audio unfriendly atrium were hurdles that Sharp's Audio Visual identified early in the integration process.
Sharp's Audio Visual Solution
Sharp's Audio Visual installed a 120" diagonal 2x2 screen video wall as the primary presentation image. The lower edge of the screen was 10' off the floor in order for it to be high enough for most of the audience to have a clear view. A Draper rear projection mirror system and screens were utilized to manage the four NEC MT1075 class projectors while using very little client real-estate.

This system was also bright enough to handle the high ambient light of the open atrium presentation area. Three additional 50" plasma displays were strategically installed around the atrium to deal with sightline limitations to the large screen and add an element of internal digital signage use. A Peavey Media Matrix programmable audio system was used to manage the high demands of the environment and the requirement for adaptability to a variety of audio presentations. The entire system is controllable from one of two Crestron Touch panels.
Results
The system is used successfully every day in a digital signage capacity and for regularly scheduled town hall events.
