I'm soooo pleased to announce that Sharp's Audio Visual will be offering summer SMART Board workshops led by moi!  The first round of workshops available in Calgary, AB has just been posted to our website (found here).

I know, I'm tooting my own proverbial horn.  But it's an exciting time! Not because of the workshops themselves, per se -- I mean, 90% of my time is already spent leading SMART-based workshops with educators dicussing ties to curriculum, inquiry based learning, pedagogy, 21st Century Learning, engagement and all the other buzzwords important topics in education today.

What I'm most excited about is that I had a hand in the background workings of the web pages! While I cannot in any way take credit for their creation (my new best friend Piet Nutby deserves a HUGE shout out), I did learn how to manipulate the properties of the events, the form, the main Education page, the Menu and the calendar -- all within Joomla! Whoo hoo!

I've always been somewhat of a self-professed techie nerd, but really, I thought I was just good at fooling those who had less technology knowledge than myself.  I learned that all I need to do is toss around words like "VGA", "RSS", "HTML" and "DVI" and suddenly I was a techie god in the eyes of my non-IT friends.  But now...NOW I have something to back up my tough talking exterior. 

So now, if you discover any mistakes, please feel free to point them out asap -- I'd rather not have to back track all this gloating with the admission of having made an error! lol
