I promise that I really do have intelligent interesting unique commentary on some issues in education these days, but I just haven't had the time to properly flush out my ideas so that they become worthy of a blog post.

You'd think I was a teacher or something.

I mean really, this June is about as relaxing as they come -- who knew how much time I'd have with NO report cards to write, NO IPPs to fill out, ZERO classroom clutter to sift through, NO field trips, NO assemblies and ZERO government PATs/diplomas to think about? 

I still can't get used to it.  And I'm pretty sure I'm having 'sympathy June-brain' (akin to sympathy pains) for my colleagues still on the front lines in the trenches.  Hence the lack of education-related analysis these days.

While I sort through my hazy ideas that haven't quite formed into a blog post (stay tuned for an upcoming #edchat review), I thought I'd fall back on my Social Studies roots and present some history twists on that age old question: "Why did the chicken cross the road"?

They're smart, they're funny, I made them colourful and they don't take too much thinking to understand (for the most part!).  Just what the doctor ordered for teachers in June!
