It's Monday, No Need to Overthink - (07-06-2010)

It's Monday. It's June. Twitter is abuzz with teachers talking about their kids having some version of summer-induced ADD (call it the June itch, summeritis or Spring burnout). Even though I'm approaching the one-year anniversary of me leaving the classroom, I still remember very clearly how busy this time of year is.

So I'm not going to make you think very hard today.

Instead, I thought I'd share a fun, albeit mindless, little website that I discovered via @ShellTerrell -- Twitter Parade. Basically, you enter either your Twitter name or a search tag to create a parade of all the relevant tweeps associated with you or the search term.  These little animated tweeps march along to music, with you as their parade leader.

So fun...so easy to digest this information on a Monday in June...

Here is my Twitter Parade with all the tweeps in my PLN! Try to find your picture here: http://isparade.jp/203051

P.S. I tried to embed this into my blog post, but apparently I'm having my own case of the "Mondays"...I may fix it later when I can actually remember how to edit HTML in Joomla!

A classroom educator for 10 years, I’m now thrilled to be working full time training teachers and helping them integrate technology into their classrooms.

Originally from Calgary, I’m thrilled to be living and working in British Columbia and starting to get to know the fabulous educators in my new province.

I fully confess that I am a tech-geek, and thus always brought technology into the classroom with my students. As soon as I got my hands on my first SMART product – I was a convert – and never taught without one again! I was fortunate to be part of several technical trials with SMART – including the SMART Table, which I enjoyed using primarily with my Grade One students.

I spent some time as an Education Technology Consultant and developed my passion for bringing technology into the hands of kids & helping teachers to maximize the tech tools within their schools.

I also love sports, movies and am a classically trained singer.
